LVSK8 IV SHOW (2010)
Thank you for your interest in participating in LVSK8 IV. We are excited to have you, and look forward seeing your work on our participating galleries walls.

This years show will run from Friday July 2 – July 27th at PLACE Gallery 1054 S. Main St. in the downtown Las Vegas Arts District. Our opening reception will be July 2 from 6-10pm, with a show preview on Thursday July 1, also 6-10pm.

Here are all the details on submitting your work to participate…

Submitting your artwork: LVSK8 IV  is open to all artists. Once you decide you would like to participate, send an email to lvsk8show[at]gmail[dot]com and let us know you’re in.

You will receive an email from us in return with a link to a PDF copy of the >>ENTRY FORM<< (Get Adobe PDF Reader here for free). Fill out the form and bring it with your $25 cash entry fee to the gallery. Please call ahead to the gallery 702-782-0319 and schedule a time for this, as hours vary. You will receive your skate deck at this time.

What you do with your deck is up to you: Draw, paint, stain, carve, sculpt, screen print… anything goes!

Shipping your artwork: Out of town artists may participate in LVSK8 but we must charge a $30 entry fee to help cover shipping. Please pre-pay your entry fee here at >>PayPal<<.

We will ship your deck via UPS Ground. When your work is complete, re-pack it in the box provided with a completed Entry Form and a pre-paid return shipping label. Our shipping address is listed below.

Please pack your artwork securely. We advise artists to wrap the package in plain brown paper wrap and secure with brown paper tape. This allows the shipper to stamp over the tape and package, which reveals tampering. UPS is our preferred shipper, but you may use any service convenient to you. We do recommend insurance to cover damages and loss during shipping – both ways. Please ship your piece to us in a timely manner, and don’t forget to include a pre-paid return shipping label.

If your work does not sell at the show it will be re-packed in its original container as it comes off the wall at the gallery. The pre-paid shipping label will be applied and the package returned to you. Artwork without a pre-paid shipping will not be returned at our expense.

Dropping off your artwork: Turn in your completed deck/artwork in the box provided (or suitable substitute) at least TWO WEEKS prior to the show (by June 18th) at PLACE Gallery 1054 S. Main St. LV, NV 702-782-0319. Please call ahead to schedule your drop-off as gallery hours do vary.

Sales: All decks will be for sale at the show. In the event of a sale, PLACE Gallery charges a 40% sales commission from the sale proceeds, and you will receive the remaining 60%. Please price your deck fairly by providing affordable art to our/your customers, while at the same time not greatly under valuing your time, effort, and talent.

Picking up your work: If your deck does not sell you may claim it between the hours of 2pm to 6pm, either July 29th or 30th at PLACE Gallery, unless prior arrangements are made.

“Force Majeur” and “Unclaimed Bailment” clauses are in effect for this show.
