I am the Lost Generation
Born the year of the rooster
I learned to crow for coke
And took life as a selfish joke.
Laughin and blowin and thinkin
How many times they kill
When words fill
Our minds.
I know nothing, live nothing, am nothing,
Question everything,
Find anything
To be something.
I don't have money to love
Or guidance from above.
God lost my soul
When Satan became whole.
I am the leader of the lost generation.
Confused by an apple of temptation.
I am the goddess of dreamers.
Want love and not a Beamer.
I am the unicorn of magic.
Isn't thought so tragic?
I live in a house of rotting wood.
Life had never been so good.
I make love all night long.
OOOOh- passion is strong.
We will dance for independence
Till the man gives us a fucking chance.
Don't be afraid, now.
Happiness is on my brow
And lovers will rise
Over vettes and time
While the young march hand in hand
As the man drops coins in the sand.
I am the leader of the lost generation.
Confused by an apple of temptation.
I am the president of unity.
Bless the holy trinity.
I am the writer on the wall,
The loser in the hall,
The sad one in the stall.
I love you all.
Just Questions
How beautiful do I have to be in order to be loved?
How many times do you have to smile in order to be liked?
What time of day must you wake to realize your potential?
What happens if you fall and can't get up again?
How many times can you listen to the same song and not get sick of it?
When does life begin?
How many of your friends are real?
What is love?
Are tears really made of salt?
Do dreams come true?
Do I really love him?
Can we touch rainbows?
Are your expectations too high?
Is everyone blind or do we just see what we want to see?
What's the purpose of time?
Are you afraid?
Am I real?
Do people really have the power to change lives?
Is God out there?
Did you ever really need somebody?
Need them bad?
Why are some questions never asked?
Why are some questions never answered?
Loca
Witches and lovers and liars and brothers-
The world spins round.
People with their heads in the ground.
Look behind you.
Remember what's true.
Hocus pocus, rats and shrooms,
Acid queens on their brooms.
Defying the moon, kissing stars
Finding jokers in 24 hr. bars.
Listen closely-outside windows they call:
How many times must mankind fall?
What about it all?
Where's God, the Savior or St. Paul?
Witches and lovers and liars and brothers.
The world spins round.
People with their heads in the ground.
Look behind you.
Remember what's true.
Sex and the arts and tears and games.
Lovers only sing in shame.
Boys only love in the darkness.
Mary forgot how to kiss.
Opening legs and smashing brains.
Up and down in the rain.
He calls out to me!
I just want to be free!
Ravage free
Rave free
Breathe free
Witches and lovers and liars and brothers.
The world spins round.
People with their heads in the ground.
Look behind you.
Remember what's true.
A liar always tells the truth.
Satan is God- I am living proof.
Saturday was yesterday.
Blood is gray.
Money buys happiness.
Love is sadness.
I don't want to lie:
The music will never die.
Tune in
Love sin
Grin grin grin
Witches and lovers and liars and brothers.
The world spins round.
People with their heads in the ground.
Look behind you.
Remember what's true.
I am your brother, not your mother.
Don't touch that water.
Holy, holy stoner potter.
It's a crime to relate to relatives.
It's all relative.
Raving repetition
Silent petition
Diamonds sing if you listen.
Eyes
Saw you sitting there without a word
On your lips.
I know you not and want you more.
Isn't that what love is for?
Give me a glance, don't give a chance.
I'll be happy with your eyes.
Forget the soul.
Song
Jack and Jill went up the hill.
Poor Jack, oh Jack, Jill had to kill.
She slipped him a pill.
So, Jack "How do you feel?"
Jack looked at Jill with scared eyes.
Jill killed Jack like a spider does flies.
The gurgling sound drowned out the cries.
Jack-you knew Jill wouldn't believe the lies!
The history is one to know.
Jack drank the blood of Bo Peep-that Ho!
Jack just couldn't say no.
Ha-now Jill fried him like an angry crow.
Peter Piper saw it all go down.
The grin on his face is not a frown.
Dirty man with the smile of a clown.
He sees Jill like a queen in her crown.
The three men in the tub ask Jill to join in.
Funny sex games make them spin.
Pass the soap and watch them grin.
Tub thumping…what a glorious sin.
Mother Goose, the Devil's Mistress,
Leans over to give him a kiss.
Life in the land of tales is such infinite bliss
That no ordinary joker would want to miss.
So now ends the tales about the real.
Sit down and shut up. How does it make you feel?
Father's Coffee and Whiskey
Folgers
Daddy sipped it in the morning with pure white sugar.
It was the beginning of the day and he was a dewy tree.
He was like the comic strip on page two of the funnies.
He was my favorite re-run of Batman and Robin,
The sweet thickness of Bubblelicious,
The green light on Sepulveda, a fully gassed mini-van.
Oh, my papa.
Jack Daniels
Father drinks it after five in a brand new bottle.
He is that over-turned big rig dismantling the center divide,
My Tuesday morning obituary,
The hard pink goo on the soul of my shoe,
The yellow light. No! The red light. Okay, the dead end.
Simply put…tonight's falling star.
Carpe Diem
A purple fruit
saturates the morning sun.
Naked thighs
cleanse your morning mouth.
My mouth opens the dawn.
I am in a hurry
for another day,
another night,
a different mouth in my thighs.
Seize me! I am the day.
